About MeBernard Leach, established his pottery in St Ives and was very influenced by Oriental ceramic techniques. He experimented with several materials, glazes and decorative techniques. Here he has used a fine porcelain covered in a celadon glaze with an incised oak leaf on the cover, all very orientally inspired.
