About MeThis stoneware fluted bowl is glazed all over in a rich dark, almost black, tenmoku glaze with copper flecks. The glaze thins to iron red beneath the rim and on the fluting around the body.
Tenmoku is a Japanese term for a high gloss glaze which can be treacle-brown or a lustrous black in colour. The more quickly the pot is cooled after firing in the kiln, the darker the glaze will be.
