About MeCarte de Visite portrait of seated man, full length with a desk/ table placed to his left. He is holding a book in his left hand. He is wearing a full matching suit and there is a pocket watch chain visible inside his waistcoat, he also has a white shirt and a dark necktie and sideburns. There is a number written in pencil on the reverse side: 'PH3908.' The photographer's details appear in full on the reverse side, c. 1880s.Inscribed underneath the photograph "R.STEWART, PHOTO ELGIN".
