About MeCarte de visite of two children, a girl and boy. They are photographed in front of a forest backgound, the girl is sitting in an alcove/ window behind the boy. She is wearing a dress with her hair down and ribbon tied in her hair. The dog is sitting in her lap. The boy is leaning up against the backdrop with his left arm propped up on the ledge of the window. His hair is styled neatly with a parting down the right side. He is in a velvet (?) suit with a white shirt and necktie. There are pads across his knees in a diamond shape and his left leg is crossed over his right. In his right hand he is holding a whip/ riding crop. On the reverse the photographer's details appear in full.
