About MeCarte de visite of a seated elderly woman. She is wearing a white bonnet which ties up around her chin with long ends. She is wearing a dark dress with a dark shawl and tassels. A brooch can be seen on the front of the shawl. Her hands are clasped in front of her as she sits before a outdoor background. On the reverse the photographer's details appear in full along with a number hand-written in pencil: 1770.
