The dress was later worn by their daughter, Elizabeth Pirie, for performances as a professional pianist.The cream wedding dress features a silk lowcut bodice with loose pleats and elbow length sleeves. It is decorated with stitching, frogging, ribbon work, appliqued lace and tulle. The skirt is A-line shape with a fitted waist and pleats down the front that widen at the hem. The shoes, a stocking and a spray of flowers worn with this dress are held within the collection.
