About MeCarte de visite of a woman standing in front of a balustrade covered in vines. She is wearing a very full skirted dress with long sleeves, a high collar with white lace trim, and white cuffs with dark stripes at the edge. There is a ruffle down the front of the bodice and at the edges of the sleeves. The bottom of the skirt has a contrast panel. Her wavy hair is parted in the middle and is pulled back just above the neckline. She is wearing earrings, a shiny beaded necklace with a central pendant, and a ring on her right hand. Photographer's full print details can be seen on reverse side. c.1860s
