About MeCarte de visite of two women, one is sitting and one is standing. The seated woman is an elderly lady wearing a decorated bonnet which ties up underneath her chin in a large bow. Her dress has a checked pattern and she is wearing dark gloves, a black lace shawl and is holding an umbrella in her left hand. There is a large brooch at her neck.
The women standing has her right hand on the back of the chair of the seated woman. She is wearing a bonnet which ties underneath her chin in a large white bow. She is wearing a dark coat with wide sleeves over a full skirted, patterned dress. There is beaded embellishments on the sleeves of the coat. She is wearing dark gloves.
The edge of a table can be seen to the left of the seated woman. On the reverse the photographer's details appear in full.
