About MePorcelain round bowl standing on a narrow cylindrical foot. It is glazed all over in pale greenish-blue celadon glaze fading to almost white at the rim which is edged with a very fine band of pale greenish-brown tenmoku.

This bowl is a good example of Chris Keenan's elegant style with a subtle surface pattern.

Celadon is a type of glaze which originated in China. It is frequently found in shades of pale green, however colours can range from pale pearl blue to dark olive green depending on the quantity of iron oxide added to the glaze before it is fired.

Tenmoku glaze is generally treacle-brown or lustrous black in colour.
