About MeThis small stoneware jug has an ovoid body, short slightly everted neck and a loop handle.
The jug has been glazed in a mottled brown, rust, black and greeny-blue glaze which was achieved by dipping the piece in a watery tenmoku then spraying on an overglaze of the same glaze recipe with the iron excluded. The areas of pale blue (notably around the footring and lower half of the body) are caused by a small amount of iron contaminating the overglaze.
