About MeThis small jug which tapers to a narrow rim and pinched lip is made from porcelain, hand-thrown on the wheel.It is glazed inside and out in a very pale blue-white celadon glaze.
Celadon is a type of glaze which originated in China and spread to other parts of East Asia. Iron oxide is added to create shades of pale green and blue and with the addition of a greater amount of iron oxide, in colours as dark as olive green and black.
