About MeThis baking dish is made from Fremington clay, a local clay which is found near to Clive Bowen's Devon pottery.

The dish is glazed in honey yellow and brown slips (also found locally) over white and decorated with a combed pattern of brown bands with waved bands in the centre.

Bowen built his own wood-fired kilns for the production of earthenware in a wide range of everyday wares from store jars to serving dishes and jugs.
