About MeThe Bronte pattern was designed in 1972 for Hornsea Pottery by John Clappison. The distinctive pattern was screen printed onto the pottery with a medium which resisted the glaze, which then covered the unprinted areas creating semi-matt areas. The thicker glaze produced a relief effect which enhanced the design.
