About MeThis sampler was sewn by Helen Fowler at Insch School in Aberdeenshire in 1865.
It features upper and lower case alphabets embroidered in seven different fonts and numerals from 1-20.
There is a crown embroidered on the centre left which looks like it has been sewn by a different hand using a different wool.
More About Me
The crown left of centre in a different thread was probably added later, possibly by a different hand
