About MeThis rectangular linen cross stitch sampler worked in red and green wool was sewn by Elspet Eddie in Aberdeen in 1856.

The upper section comprises upper and lowe case alphabets, numerals and family initials interspersed with bands of various stitch patterns.

The lower section is decoratied with various motifs including crowns and a pot plant.
