About MeCarte de visite of a standing man leaning on an ornamental chair. His left hand is propped up on his hip while his right is resting on the back of the chair. His top hait is also placed on the chair. His hair is neatly styled with a parting down the right side and he has distinctive facial hair. He is wearing a dark jacket with matching necktie, waistcoat, trousers and a white shirt. The background is blank. On the reverse the photographer's details appear in full in the form of a crest in a blue stamp.
