About MePaul Young works in the tradition of Staffordshire slipware and European folk art. Here he has modelled an appealing rural scene with a sheep or lamb kneeling at the base of a tree covered with blossoms and topped with a hand-modelled bird, possibly a fantail dove. The whole piece is hand-decorated in brightly coloured glazes in a folk art tradition.
