About MeThis linen cross stitch and eyelet stitch sampler was stitched by Agnes Forbes aged 10 years in about the 1820s-1830s.

There are upper and lower case alphabets and family initials interspersed with bands of various stitch patterns.

Agnes has used leftover thread to stitch a colourful border at the top and bottom of her sampler.
