About MeCorrespondence from James McBey to Marguerite McBey, dated 28 September 1948. McBey writes that he has received a letter from Marguerite. He says he will send a cheque for the car insurance, that he has received a letter from the architect for the Palmer room regarding the size of the panel, and that he has received permission from the Board of Trade to send the Palmer portrait out. Getting permission from the Bank of England was more difficult, though eventually successful. He expects the portrait to be finished the following week.

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this letter.
