About MeThis small earthenware milk or cream jug is glazed in an olive green slip (liquid clay). The potter has used either his fingers or a tool to comb through the slip before it dried to create an abstract pattern resembling blades of grass.
The jug was made by Sidney Tustin who was recruited aged 13 years in the summer of 1927 by Michael Cardew to work at Winchcombe Pottery. He worked there for fifty-one years and made over a million pots before he retired in 1978.
