About MeThis earthenware side plate is decorated in the "Aquitaine" pattern, one of Jane Cox's signature designs. The pattern is created by applying layers of paper cut into shapes which are later removed after the brightly coloured glazes, made to Jane Cox's recipes, are either sprayed or handpainted. This pattern was inspired by the colours of the South of France where she lived before setting up her studio in Britain.

She specializes in earthenware fired to high bisque temperatures, combining slip decoration with low temperature translucent glazes in three main colours. "Aquitaine" is a rich vibrant turquoise, "Loire" is deep green and "Carcassonne" is a purple-blue.
