About MeThis linen cross stitch and eyelet stitch sampler was sewn by Amelia Bruce aged 11 years in about the late 1830s.

The sampler comprises upper case alphabets, numerals and family initials worked in red and green.

Amelia has stitched the beginning of her teacher's name, Mrs R, at the bottom.
