About MeCarte de visite of a seated woman on a plush chair. Her hair is styled neatly with a middle parting and she has a hair clip on the right hand side towards the back of her head. She is wearing earrings. The collar of her dress is made of white lace and is buttoned up high. She is wearing a chain or a necklace. Her dress has a bustle and long sleeves with three black buttons on the cuffs. Her arms are crossed over each other as she leans on the back of the chair and she is slightly smiling. On the reverse the photographer's details appear in full.Exhibitions
