About MeCorrespondence from James McBey to Marguerite McBey, dated 31 August 1934. He writes about being unable to make someone an offer regarding property, and how he cannot yet count on Hortense's support for "the Belgian place". He also writes how a letter arrived in London for Marguerite, from Germany - he is forwarding it via registered mail. He further discusses other post sent to Marguerite - "the negatives of the [illegible] party have been sent by your mother". He advises Marguerite where would not be best to dine (perhaps "drive", not "dine"). In reference to the previous letter - ABDAG008318.81 - he notes that he has not had a reply from Mrs Hurst.

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this letter.
