About MeEarthenware large plant pot holder fashioned as a tyg with double loop handles.
The outside is glazed in a thick dark green and irridescent purple lustre glaze. Inside the glaze is clear, revealing the orange-red earthenware body.

Edwin Beer Fishley took over the family pottery in North Devon when his father died in 1860. Edwin was the third generation to work at the pottery using clay from local pits. He inspired Michael Cardew to become a potter and influenced a number of Cardew's slip-decorated wares.
