About MeThis dress was worn by an Aberdeen bride to her wedding at St Andrew's Cathedral in 1928.This dress follows the very fashionable 'flapper' style that was popular with formal wear of the period. Dresses often featured apron-like tunics, overdresses or overskirts and had a low, almost non-existent waistline. Scalloped, petal-edged skirts, like the one on this dress, were also popular, as were asymmetrical trimmings and drapings. Many brides chose shorter wedding dresses, their length fluctuating from ankle-length to calf-length.
