About MeCarte de visite of a woman standing next to a seated man. The woman is wearing a dark dress with a decorated head band. She has earrings which match her large beaded necklace and both of her hands are resting on the man's shoulder. The man is wearing a hat and he has a large bushy beard. He has a dark single-breasted coat with matching trousers, black polished shoes and dark gloves. He is holding a cane in his left hand. There is a hanging curtain to the left of the woman and a small foot stool in the corner. On the reverse the photographer's details appear in full.
