About MeThis stoneware beige lidded pot has a red and black slip-trailed decoration between a single band at the top and a double band at the base.
Slip-trailing is a decorative technique used to create linear patterns. Different coloured slips (liquid clay) are applied by the potter through a 'trailer' which has a nozzle or fine point to ensure an even flow of slip.
