About MeThis pipkin handle was found during excavations at the site of Aberdeen Carmelite friary in 1980-1. Pipkins were small rounded vessels used for cooking small amounts of food or sauces. They often had three small feet for balancing on the fire.
Curly pipkin handles are not commonly found in Aberdeen. Most have a short straight handle.
