About MeThis teacup is made from Fremington clay, a clay local to Clive Bowen's North Devon Pottery, from which he makes most of his work. It is paired with a matching cup ABDMS095708.311. The form is conical, tapering from a round rim to narrow foot.
The cup is glazed in a mottled yellow and brown glaze on the outside with reddish brown banding around the rim and foot. Inside is is glazed in dark brown with band of mustard yellow slip at the rim.
It is decorated in an abstract pattern of green and yellow ribbons and dark brown splashes, with slip trailed brown wavy band towards the foot of the cup.
