About MeThis saucer is made from Fremington clay, a clay local to Clive Bowen's North Devon Pottery, from which he makes most of his work. It is paired with a matching cup ABDMS095708.312.
It is glazed all over in a dark reddish-brown glaze covered with yellow slip (liquid clay) and brown banding around rim and foot in a more free-flowing style. The upper surface, close to the rim edge, is decorated with a band of green slip which merges into the yellow glaze.
