About MeThis round bowl with domed cover is made from earthenware and is glazed in a mix of yellow ochre and brown glazes.
Notched marks have been made in concentric circles around the bowl and cover by the potter, Takatoshi Ohta, before the glaze was applied. This allowed the brown glaze to pool in the notch marks and creates both surface texture and decoration.
