About MeThis small bottle, or vase, is made from Fremington clay, a local material from which Clive Bowen makes most of his work at his North Devon Pottery.
The bottle is wheel-thrown and formed with straight sides tapering to prominent shoulder and short cylindrical neck. It is glazed in a dark mustard yellow slip (liquid clay) with iron brown slip-trailed wave pattern around the body. The shoulder and foot are both decorated with iron brown slip bands.
