About MeThis earthenware round pourer is shaped like a large cup, with a strap handle and prominent lip set at 90 degrees to the handle. The shape means that the pourer could be used as a jug, gravy boat or sauce boat at the table or in the kitchen preparing food.

The exterior is glazed in honey yellow slip (liquid clay) over brown slip creating a mottled effect. The glaze runs over the rim and stops short of the base. The inside is glazed in a dark brown slip contrasting with the honey yellow colour of the exterior.

Clive Bowen uses a local clay for most of his work produced at his North Devon pottery. He makes a wide selection of useful pieces for the storage, preparation, cooking and serving of food and drink, ranging from giant store jars to everyday dishes, jugs and mugs.
