About MeThis sherd of pottery was found during the excavation of the Carmelite friary in Aberdeen in 1994. It is part of a bowl or plate which was probably made somewhere in the Mediterranean area.
Small sherds of this type of pottery are occasionally found on excavations in Aberdeen. It is difficult to determine exactly where they were made because similar products have been found from, amongst other places, France, Spain and Italy.
