About MeThis small flask is made from Fremington clay, a clay local to Clive Bowen's North Devon Pottery, from which he makes most of his work.
It was created as a two circular dishes joined together with the addition of a thrown neck and applied loop foot. The seam where the two dishes are joined is concealed with a swirled and textured edge.
The flask is glazed in a deep honey gold slip (liquid clay) and decorated with a dark brown leafy plant on one face and a jumping fish on the other.
Clive Bowen makes a wide selection of useful pieces for the storage, preparation, cooking and serving of food and drink, ranging from giant store jars to everyday dishes, jugs and mugs.
